This section includes the neighborhoods of Logan Heights, Golden Hill, City Center, Old Town-Uptown. A great variety, some of the richest blocks in town and some of the poorest. Hills and mesas, divided by freeways. On some maps, other neighborhoods - South Park & Mission Hills - are listed, but here they are folded into the above neighborhoods.

LOGAN HEIGHTS: South of downtown, south of Balboa Park. The census indicates it is a young people's world. About seven out of every ten people are within the age of 18 and 34. Renters out number homeowners by five to one.
